Pastor David O'Steen

As the pastor of this church, I know I have been given a great responsibility to preach and teach God's word, pray for our people, oversee all aspects of the church, serve as an example, and to help spiritually protect the people God has entrusted to my care (Acts 20:28). I take my responsibility very seriously, and desire to serve God with the utmost integrity and honor. I truly love our church family. After 11 years of service here, my love continually grows stronger.

It's my heart's desire and prayer that the Lord will use our ministry to save sinners and build up His people in the faith. My primary responsibility as a pastor is to feed God's people His word. The Scripture is our spiritual food and is essential to spiritual growth and nourishment. I am committed to preaching and teaching the Bible. I also endeavor to teach people how to study the Bible for themselves. I believe that Christians can understand the Bible for themselves and that the Scripture shows us how. The Bible can be an imposing book for many people due to its size and literary style, but when it is approached and studied the way God Himself tells us (2 Tim. 2:15), the Bible interprets itself and becomes a seamless story detailing God’s plan and purpose for the universe that He created for Himself and our involvement in that plan.

I was born and raised in Central Florida and trusted Christ as my Savior when I was a teenager. After graduating from Bible college (2001), I served as an assistant pastor for four years before moving to Georgia to become the pastor of this church. My wife, Christy, and I have been married for 16 years and the Lord has blessed us with three children; Makinsey, Carter, and Colten. My family is precious to me, and a top priority in my life. God has shown me that it is vital that I spend both quality time and a good quantity of time with my family.

I am grateful that God continues to allow me to pastor this wonderful church family. People are growing and changing as Christ lives His victorious life through us. We desire to be a light in this community, and to help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world.
